A notarized copy of the information page of your passport (page with name, passport photo, passport number, etc.) is required. Please do not send your physical passport. The Australian Embassy may ask for the physical passport however it should not be sent unless requested.
Please submit two (2) recent passport photographs taken within the last six months.
Please carefully review the Passport Photo Style Regulations.
A copy of your current resume' or CV is required.
A signed personal letter demonstrating the need for you to be in Australia for the proposed activity or work to be undertaken.
A certified copy of your birth certificate is required. A certified copy will typically display a raised or embossed seal. Please do not send the original birth certifiicate.
From host, sponsor or relative to be visited in Australia stating responsibility for and acknowledgement of your stay in Australia, along with a copy of proof regarding the host's citizenship in Australia: request a copy of the information page of the Australian citizen's passport be sent to you (via mail, scanned image email sent via email or clear legible fax).
The letter should include the following information:
Most recent CHECKING ACCOUNT statement (the original that is mailed to your home), along with a copy must be submitted as proof of financial ability.
If a someone other than the applicant is sponsoring the trip, then please submit an ORIGINAL support/explanation letter from the sponsor along with their ORIGINAL CHECKING ACCOUNT statement, and a copy.
The Australian Embassy does not accept Savings account statements, as they deem the money not immediately available.
